7th Grade sets off on trip to Washington D.C.
The Mar Lee 7th grade class boarded the bus early this morning for their long-awaited and well-deserved trip to Washington D.C. Money for the trip was completely provided by student fundraising activities over the summer and fall. The itinerary includes a stop at Gettysburg today.

MCCU employees donate money to Mar Lee School
According to a recent story in the Battle Creek Enquirer, the Marshall Community Credit Union has donated more than $650.00 to six schools in the Marshall area, including Mar Lee School. The donations were raised by MCCU staff members to thank schools for participating in the Credit Union's "CU In School" program.

Mar Lee School closes due to H1N1 flu on Monday and Tuesday, October 26 and 27
Due to excessive illness among the student body, Superintendent Bill LeTarte has closed Mar Lee school for the beginning of the week. All school activities for those days have been canceled. Students with questions about assignments due later in the week should contact their individual teachers.

Battle Creek Enquirer reports on field trip to local wildlife sanctuary

Pancake Tent at County Fair Raises over $7000 for Class Trip
The Mar Lee 7th grade class raised $7,156.46 at the pancake breakfast tent at the Calhoun County fair in Marshall this year. The tent offered a menu of pancakes, sausage, eggs to order, grilled cheese, and egg sandwiches. The money goes towards the 7th grade's upcoming class trip to Washington, DC to learn about American democracy.
